Today is it pouring in Chicagoland. Same forecast for tomorrow. The weekend forecast looks good here, but of course, Mother Nature knew my family was planning a get-together this weekend and has decided to try to screw up our plans. The weather forecast for Minot is not looking good right now for Friday or Monday (my parents' travel days) so please send positive thoughts to Mother Nature. I want my parents to come visit me in Chicago one last time before I move! And please
Don't cross anything!*
*My family used to say we were crossing our fingers when we wanted good things (such as the weather cooperating) to happen to us. We learned that it was bad luck and have now moved to saying "Don't cross anything" with hopes that it works. It doesn't always work, but we seem to think this is better. Plus it's more fun to say :-)
