We spent four days in CA and I've already recapped one day. Here's Day 2.
We woke up and ate breakfast at our inn. The food there was outstanding and breakfast was included in the room rate every day so why not eat there. We enjoyed our outdoor fireplace a bit too, then we had an awesome massage at the spa. Around 1, we started winery hopping. We hit three wineries that day: Copain, Lynmar, and Martenelli.
Copain's wine was good but the scenery was better.
Then we went to Lynmar, which was probably our favorite experience. The bartender/vintner we met was super interesting and fun and we ate some yummy cheeses on the patio with our wine. It was a beautiful day.

Our last winery was a bit disappointing and at that point, I had had enough to drink. Day drinking is not my friend! We took one of many afternoon naps and then went to dinner at the inn's restaurant. Before dinner, we took a quick self-portrait.
At dinner, I wish I would have taken more photos. But because we were at a Michelin-star rated restaurant, we thought it would be frowned upon. We snuck two photos, which are oh-so-flattering.
That dinner was the best I've ever had. I cannot say enough about it! Here's what we ate:

We also did the wine pairing, which was very interesting. I wasn't a fan of two of my four pairings, especially the port I had with my dessert but it was fun to try something new.
We were so full that we pretty much just came back and passed out. One of my favorite things about our room was the indoor/outdoor fireplace. It had a three-hour timer on it so we made sure to turn it on just before bed and then whoever woke up first turned it on.
It was a good day!
